Power forward Terrence Jones was waived by the New Orleans Pelicans prior to the trade deadline. Now the 25-year-old is signing with the Milwaukee Bucks, reports Shams Charania of The Vertical:
Free agent Terrence Jones has agreed to a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks for the rest of the season, league sources tell @TheVertical.

It came as a shock to many when New Orleans waived Jones; he’s young, talented and has had a very solid season. Surely they could have found a trade partner, right? This season in 51 games (12 starts) for the Pelicans, Jones averaged 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the floor.
Jones and the Pelicans came to a mutual decision to go their separate ways after the Pelicans acquired superstar big man DeMarcus Cousins.
In Milwaukee, Jones should see an abundance of playing time; with Jabari Parker sidelined with a torn ACL, it’s possible that he could find himself a starter for the Bucks.
Parker may be gone, but the Bucks recently saw swingman Khris Middleton return to action. The Bucks are currently two games out of the 8 seed. If they hope to make a playoff push, the time is now.
