Whether you support it or not, everyone loves a good cause. What’s even better is when a well-know public figure/celebrity lends their resources and talent to a good cause to bring even more awareness. With her main focus being on the youth, Miley Cyrus has started a nonprofit organization by the name, ‘The Happy Hippie Foundation’.
Our mission is to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations.
You may remember at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, Miley Cyrus allowed, then homeless, Jesse Helt accept her award for Video of the Year with a heartwarming speech. Now, it appears Miley is putting her money where her mouth is as she’s calling on fellow artists to join her for her newly launched #backyardsessions to help raise awareness for the varies issues that the youth facing. First up to lend her support to ‘The Happy Hippie Foundation’, is no one other than Ariana Grande. Singing with Miley as they cover Crowded House’s ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’. the song was the perfect choice to sing in honor of the youth and bring further awareness to the foundation’s cause.
