
Earlier this year, Kendrick Lamar curated the Black Panther soundtrack. Much like the film, the soundtrack received high praises from those around the entertainment industry. Tonight, Mike WiLL Made-It is here to complete the year with another iconic Hip-Hop soundtrack to a film starring Michael B. Jordan. The Atlanta producer has dropped the soundtrack for Creed II with features from Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Rick Ross, Vince Staples, Juicy J, Trouble and many more. In the days leading up to the soundtrack’s release, the team behind the soundtrack released two new singles, “The Mantra” and “Kill ‘Em With Success“.
In addition to appearances from music’s biggest names, the soundtrack features new music from Creed II‘s leading lady, Tessa Thompson. After announcing the project, the Atlanta producer told fans that the project would feature “loud mixes”, “rare” collaborations, “fresh melodies” and “new tempos”. He later added that the soundtrack would have “new frequencies” and “real messages in the most organic way”. He ended by telling fans that the soundtrack game would never be the same after this. Those are lofty expectations considering the success of the Black Panther soundtrack and the incredible music featuring in Uncle Drew and Venom.
