Former President Donald Trump has found himself in hot water yet again. After a lengthy investigation, the Department of Justice has charged the Florida resident with 37 felonies, including 31 counts under the Espionage Act. Yesterday, the New York native was arraigned in the greater Miami area. Afterward, he shared his unfiltered thoughts on his ongoing legal battle with the federal government.
“This is called election interference in yet another attempt to rig and steal a presidential election,” the former President said.
“It’s a political persecution like something straight out of a fascist or communist nation. This day will go down in infamy and Joe Biden will forever be remembered as the most corrupt president in the history of our country.”
Trump is not the only person to comment on the legal battle. Shortly thereafter, his former running mate, Mike Pence, was asked to share his thoughts regarding the matter.
“Having read the indictment, these are very serious allegations. And I can’t defend what is alleged,” the former Vice President said.
“But the President is entitled to his day in court, he’s entitled to bring a defense, and I want to reserve judgment until he has the opportunity to respond.”
