According to ESPN.com former no.2 pick Michael Beasley is going to be released by the Phoenix Suns by the end of the week following his recent arrest on the suspicion of marijuana possession.
Beasley averaged a career-low 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds. Not good for a Small Forward let alone a no.2 pick.
It was pretty much expected after new Suns GM Ryan McDonough was reportedly “eager” to waive Beasley. (And the trade for Caron Butler was a bit of a “nudge nudge” moment)
This is another step into the “New Suns” as their under performing forward goes out the door.
