Michael B. Jordan will be presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony is set to kick off later today at 11:30 a.m. PST on Hollywood Boulevard. Director Ryan Coogler and actor Jonathan Majors will be in attendance along with Jordan’s family and friends.
“Michael B. Jordan has become a household name thanks to his many roles on the big screen,” Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer Ana Martinez said.
“To think that this star didn’t grow up with dreams of being an actor! Luckily for us, he changed his mind and now he will be honored with an iconic star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Jordan receives his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame just a few days before his directorial debut, Creed III, hits theaters. Thus far, the latest chapter in the Creed saga has received positive reviews from critics and fans alike.
“Creed III is a breath of fresh air. Adonis might be avoiding the past in Creed III, but Jordan is learning from what has been done before and bringing this series into an entirely new generation, evolving this world in a way that makes it feel entirely new again,” Ross Bonaime of Collider said.
“I saw Creed III a few days ago & I haven’t stopped thinking about the themes of the film, the story, acting & how much of an emotional reaction I had to it all. The same kind of personal investment fans had in Rocky Balboa, I have in Adonis Creed and his family,” Dart Adams added.
The film will hit theaters on March 3, 2023 with early screenings scheduled throughout the day at select theaters on March 2, 2023.
