Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California believes an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden is on the horizon. In fact, there is a belief that the inquiry could begin as soon as next month.
“So, if you look at all the information we have been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy told Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures.
McCarthy and his colleagues are looking into the foreign business dealings of the President and members of his family, including Hunter Biden. As the investigation continues, McCarthy has repeatedly asked for members of the Biden administration to turn over documents related to their work. While he hasn’t specified what exact documents he is looking for, he has indicated that he will launch an impeachment inquiry if they are not turned in.
“If they provide us the documents, there wouldn’t be a need for an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy said.
“But if they withhold the documents and fight like they have now to not provide to the American public what they deserve to know, we will move forward with an impeachment inquiry when we come back into session.”
