Multiple outlets have issued reports regarding Max Kellerman’s next move in the world of sports media. ESPN has not confirmed the news, but Kellerman is expected to exit First Take and take on an expanded role with ESPN Radio.
Kellerman has been a prominent face on ESPN for nearly five years. After Skip Bayless exited ESPN and landed on FOX Sports, Kellerman joined Stephen A. Smith on First Take. He’s also the host of the Max Kellerman show on ESPN radio and the anchor of Max On Boxing. Moving forward, he could also join ESPN’s morning radio show, Keyshawn, JWill & Zubin. One of the show’s cohosts, Zubin Mehenti, has missed a major amount of time due to health issues.
As for Smith, there were rumors that Bayless could return to ESPN when his contract ran out earlier this year. However, he signed a four-year, $32 million extension with the company just a few months ago. With Bayless out of the picture, Smith could lead the show by himself with a recurring slate of guests.
More details regarding the future of ESPN’s morning debate show are expected to arrive in the near future.
