The Sacramento Kings faced off against the Dallas Mavericks in what should have been a very fun and interesting affair, and it sure was. The Kings had the lead for most of the game until Rudy Gay left the game with a knee strain and did not return and the momentum swung in favor of the Mavericks. They ended up outscoring the Kings 31-20 in the 2nd quarter to regain somewhat of a close game. All starters for the Mavericks were in double digits, with Monta Ellis scoring 28 and Rajon Rondo helping out by scoring 21. For the Kings, DeMarcus Cousins scored 32 points, had 16 rebounds and added 9 assists, but fouled out late in the 4th quarter due to this play being called an offensive foul:
In my opinion, that is a good basketball move and the fact that it was called an offensive foul is ridiculous. The Sacramento Kings have had a late skid recently, while the Dallas Mavericks continue to rise in the tough Western Conference.
