Possibly, the worst matchup going into the 2016 NBA Playoffs was the Western Conference first round matchup between the second-seeded San Antonio Spurs and the seventh-seeded Memphis Grizzlies. Not only are the Spurs the best two seed of all-time based on their wins, they also are one of nine teams in NBA history to have +10 point differential and, they are one of 12 teams in NBA history to win 67 games in a season. So the Grizzlies, who were ravished by injuries for a good portion of the season, are vastly overmatched to say the least.
The Grizzlies haven’t scored 80 points in either one of their first two losses in this series and their losses by 32 and 26 points make it the the second-most lopsided first two games in NBA playoff history. There’s not much Memphis can do at this point.
Matt Barnes properly summed up their series with the use of one utensil.

Stay true Matt Barnes and please, by all means, never change. There’s really no better way to put this series.
