Sacramento Kings rookie forward Marvin Bagley III left Wednesday night’s matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks toward the end of the third quarter, which Bagley’s team eventually lost 141-140 after overtime. It’s now been confirmed, through a Kings medical update, that an MRI revealed that Bagley sustained a sprain to his left knee when colliding with Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon.

Bagley’s injury is also significant as the sprain is located in the same knee which caused him to miss time with a bone bruise back in December.
Marvin Bagley III’s rookie season so far has been a success for the 2018 2nd overall draft pick, with the Duke alum averaging 13.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. The Sacramento Kings are, by most estimations, over-achieving with a record of 31-30, fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
In recent months, Bagley has been making headlines with the release of his rap debut under the moniker “MB3FIVE”, as well as dazzling in this year’s NBA Rising Stars Challenge.
