The Los Angeles Clippers have had a rollercoaster offseason that saw them lose franchise point guard Chris Paul but also add a plethora of other solid complimentary pieces. They got a good haul from the Houston Rockets in return for Paul and also retained their starting frontcourt duo of Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. They also made some moves during the free-agency period, acquiring forward Danilo Gallinari and reserve big Willie Reed.
While They did also lose role players such as JJ Redick and Marreese Speights and the departures added up, they will likely still be in contention for a playoff spot in the Western Conference next year. With two months separating us and the NBA season, the Clippers aren’t done yet as they have reportedly signed Marshall Plumlee to a partially guaranteed deal according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:

While the Marshall Plumlee addition won’t change much for the Clips rotation wise, he does give the team some insurance at the center spot. With Reed facing legal troubles and Speights no longer in LA, Plumlee could become a factor.
The 25-year-old Plumlee struggles to maintain consistent playing time with the New York Knicks last year, appearing in only 21 games and averaging 1.9 points per game to go with 2.4 rebounds.
If Plumlee makes the final Clippers roster which isn’t a given, expect the Duke product to play in short spurts and be deployed as needed in a thin Clippers frontcourt.
