Coming into last night’s contest, the Denver Nuggets were short-handed beyond their own control. They were without starting rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, reserve point guard Jameer Nelson and leading scorer Danilo Gallinari. They had to start Randy Foye at the point guard they were fresh off a loss to the lowly Los Angeles Lakers.
So a win for the Phoenix Suns at home was just about guaranteed, right?
That’s what most would think but the Nuggets came into Phoenix and handled the Suns, 104-95. Randy Foye exploded in a forced role when he dropped 31 on Phoenix and the Suns frustrations came to a head in the fourth quarter.

With 9:47 to play and Denver leading 84-75, Morris was taken out of the game and he threw the towel while barking at Hornacek. Hornacek picked up the towel and threw it back Morris’ way with his own upset words for him.
“He’s mad about not playing,” Hornacek said. “I look at the stat sheet. He’s a minus-13 in 12 minutes. So there, I took him out. … He thinks he’s better than that. Show me.”
“That’s between me and ‘H’ (Hornaceck),” said Markieff, who made 2 of 8 shots and had one rebound Wednesday. “It’s not for media. It’s something between me and him that happened. We’ll talk about it.”
Hornacek said the team would discuss possible discipline for Markieff Morris throwing a towel toward Hornacek by the bench. #SunsVsNuggets

Markieff Morris is single-handedly writing the story of how to not get traded when you want to. He’s been a headache since his brother was traded to the Detroit Pistons in an attempt by Phoenix to try and acquire LaMarcus Aldridge. It’s getting to the point where the Suns might not be able to unload him for a sock full of oranges but there will be one team that bites.
If that team is the Houston Rockets, it will require some cunning work from both sides to get a deal to go through. One possibility though, could be the Philadelphia 76ers and have Markieff return home to Philly. The 76ers need veteran leadership but they also need talent and with the cheap contract Morris has, playing alongside Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel in that Philly front court could be the start of good future success for Philly.
UPDATE:
The Suns have suspended Morris for 2 games. Following from Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

When told during game that he nailed Hornacek in leg, Morris told teammates he hadn't intended to hit coach. Two games, no pay for Morris.
