The Morris brothers do not get along with the Phoenix Suns. Ever since the Suns split up the twins by trading Marcus Morris to Detroit in the hopes of signing LaMarcus Aldridge, it’s been pretty clear that there’s some bad blood between the two parties. Last week, Marcus tweeted out that his brother Markieff wouldn’t be in Phoenix for long. According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7, Marcus’ tweet may have been accurate.
From the Twitter page of the Burns and Gambo show:
According to @Gambo987's sources, Markieff wants out. He wants nothing to do with the #Suns. Won't talk to players or staff. #NBA

It sure sounds like a hostile situation in Phoenix. Not interacting with any of his teammates or coaches is a very bad sign. The Suns may be forced to trade Morris to avoid trouble, which is a shame because he’s really quite talented.
There is likely a lot more to this situation than just the Suns trading away Marcus. I hope there is, because as a professional athlete you can’t pout your way out of a team just because you don’t get to play with your brother. Even if there is more to the situation, Markieff shouldn’t be ignoring the organization, he should talk to them about it. If there’s one thing that I have taken away from this drama, it’s that the Morris twins have some maturing to do.
