It’s well-known that Mark Cuban is one of the owners who talks the most, but his advice to newly signed shooting guard John Jenkins may seem a little out of the ordinary. What he told the former Atlanta Hawk was not what most would say to their newest player, but it sure was simple enough for anybody to understand.

John Jenkins got a little advice from Mark Cuban after the Mavericks owner signed the free-agent shooting guard last week.
“He told me just to make buckets,” said Jenkins, a 2012 first-round pick of the Hawks. “That’s what I do best, and that’s what I’m going to do.”
As long as the first-year Maverick is able to follow the instructions given to him by his owner, the fans in Dallas will eventually be able to forget all about DeAndre Jordan. Even with that fiasco, they still had a lot of success in the offseason, and Jenkins was just one of the pieces they added.
There are a lot of mixed opinions about how successful Dallas will be next season, but if Cuban gets what he wants out of Jenkins, they could easily exceed expections.
