I literally said this a few days ago, the quicker you realise that the NBA is half game, half business, the better off you’ll be. That’s exactly what I said in one of my previous posts. Click my name, go look.
So what did Marcus Morris clearly not do? He didn’t account for the business, when he was traded to the Pistons, he started throwing shade at Phoenix because they split him and his brother. On a side note, I really want to ask the Morris Twins something. Did you really leave College expecting that you’ll play on the same team for the whole of your NBA careers? This was bound to happen at some point. Sure it came out the blue but you know, cookie crumbles and all that.
Anyways, Marcus is on a Pistons team that is working well and has finally moved on.
“This is the NBA. I let relationships overcome business. That will never happen again,” Morris said after the Pistons’ loss Tuesday to Indiana. I’m learning from it. My brother’s learning from it. We’re going to continue to grow.
“I mean, there’s no bitter blood between me and the other players. I don’t even think about the front office like that anymore. I’m just ready to compete and hopefully get the win in Phoenix.“
It’s weird he says this now as his next game is against the Phoenix Suns. Tad smell of being forced to say this I must admit but oh well. At least you have facetime to call your brother.
