Marcus Morris still seems bitter towards Phoenix after they traded him, Reggie Bullock, and Danny Granger to the Pistons to clear up space in a failed attempt to pursue LaMarcus Aldridge.
Morris already spoke on the matter once, saying that he didn’t feel like he had “a great opportunity” in Phoenix. On Friday, Morris continued to speak about the subject via Twitter.
First, Morris blasted Suns’ fans, tweeting:
Wow. That seems harsh. I’m sure most Suns’ fans are perfectly nice people, Marcus.
Then, Morris tweeted out something interesting. When one Twitter user said something about Morris’ twin brother Markieff still being a Sun, Marcus said that his brother “won’t be there for long.”
Interesting claim. It’s possible that he tweeted that out of spite and it has no substance, but they are brothers, and Marcus Morris knows more about the situation in Phoenix than most. Besides, there was a report earlier this month that Markieff is on the trading block in Phoenix, due to Marcus being traded and his not getting along with head coach Jeff Hornacek.
The two twins have both looked promising thus far in their young careers, with Markieff looking like the better player. Last season, Markieff averaged 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists per game while shooting 46.5% from the field, 32.8% from 3-point range, and 76.3 percent from the foul line. Marcus averaged 10.4 poi ts, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, per game, while shooting 43.4% from the field, 35.8% from long range, and 62.8% form the charity stripe.
Markieff is about an inch taller than Marcus, and is more well-rounded as a player, but Marcus has looked a bit more comfortable from deep.
Earlier this year the two brothers were arrested for aggravated assault.
