Marcus Bagley, a top 50 recruit in the class of 2020 has committed to Arizona State. Bagley, who is the younger brother of former Duke star Marvin Bagley III is from Tempe and will be playing for his hometown team. Marcus Bagley is Arizona State’s first 2020 commit for coach Bobby Hurley and should be a good fit in Hurley’s spread offense. Bagley should be a solid swing forward at the next level with the ability to be a stretch four as guy comfortable at all three levels.
Bagley is a pure scorer similar to his brother although they get theirs in different ways. He’s got the build at 6’7″ and a solid 220 pounds to cover both forward positions in college. His body is already tailor-made for college with the strength he already possesses.

Bagley was also considering California and Arizona before choosing his former hometown Arizona State. Bagley has moved to Sacramento following his brother who plays for the Kings.
As he moves onto Arizona State next year, he will need to continue to round his game. He’s a well-known scorer already with room to improve his ability to create for others and effort on the defensive end. Watching Bobby Hurley try to ultimately get the most out of Bagley’s game will be an interesting follow.
