NBA season. Last week, Tim Duncan announced he would be back for his 19th and the San Antonio Spurs landed LaMarcus Aldridge. So now it’s time to start filling out the roster.Landing Aldridge in San Antonio means the Spurs had to lose some other guys to clear salary cap space. They sent Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks and Cory Joseph went to the Toronto Raptors but the most important part of their bench for the last decade, Manu Ginobili, will be returning. The terms of his deal with the Spurs are not yet exact but the two sides are talking on a new contract.
Following from Ginobili’s twitter account.
Happy to announce that I’m coming back next season. #gospursgo #TDwouldvemissedmetoomuch.

Both Ginobili and Duncan will have to re-join the Spurs for super cheap. They already are hitting the salary cap line by bringing Aldridge in for a max deal and they still need to bring in more talent fill out the roster.
They have talked with David West to come in and help their front court depth but for now, those talks are shelved as the Spurs focus on locking in their own guys first.
