Hooker, who the Colts selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft started in 13 games for the Colts last season. The Colts were only able to put together a record of 7-9 following the unexpected retirement of QB Andrew Luck prior to the beginning of the 2019 regular season.
With the Colts declining the fifth-year option on Hooker’s contract, the Indianapolis front office continues to restructure their roster in the Post-Luck Era. Former Los Angeles Chargers QB Philip Rivers is being brought-in under-center next season as well as the team trading for DT DeForest Buckner.
