Following Sunday’s 29-23 overtime loss to the Cowboys, Eagles’ star safety Malcolm Jenkins’ main focus was on the officiating. Jenkins stated that the replay officials should “stay off the bottle” when referencing the opening kickoff which was a fumble clearly recovered by the Eagles. The officials said there was no clear recovery, allowing Dallas to keep possession of the ball.
Jenkins will likely receive a fine from the league for these comments, which should be announced before Sunday’s game.

With Dallas winning the game in overtime, they now have a two-game lead over the Eagles in the NFC East with three games remaining. Last year’s Super Bowl champions now have just an 8.9% chance to make the postseason according to ESPN’s FPI calculations. On the Eagles’ remaining schedule are the Rams, Texans, and Redskins; if the Eagles’ want to make another Super Bowl run, they’ll need to win some tough games to get in.
