A few years after their debut LP, The Heist, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are finally ready to move on and release new material. Upon the release of ‘Growing Up (Sloane’s Song)‘, a record dedicated to Macklemore’s daughter and an Ed Sheeran collaboration, fans of the duo were left wondering when they would make their return to radio. The answer to that question will be answered sooner than later as their new record, ‘Downtown’, is set to go for radio adds on September 1st. With this tidbit of information, an official announcement for ‘Downtown’ should be making its way to us all very soon. With a controversial Grammy win under their belt, we can only wait and see if Macklemore will be welcomed back into Hip-Hop & Rap discussion with his return or will he be categorized as just another Pop act.
