This has been a disappointing season for the Los Angeles Lakers that saw them missing the playoffs for the sixth time in a row. Relationships within the organization have been a bit rocky as it was reported that the young players lost their trust in LeBron after they almost got traded for Anthony Davis.
In addition, there have also been reports about head coach Luke Walton is getting fired when the season ends and some of the replacements for him, like legendary point guard Jason Kidd, have been rumored to be next for the job. And now, ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne has reported that the relationship between Walton and Lakers President of Basketball Operations Magic Johnson isn’t in good terms as they have spent weeks without talking to each other.
I opened #TheJump noting how so many of the Lakers' issues have zero to do with Luke Walton, so whether they fire him or not, they can't expect change until they face their deeper truths. Then @RamonaShelburne reported Magic hasn't spoken to Luke in weeks, and everyone went nuts: pic.twitter.com/fDgJaIKs3C

Walton arrived to the Lakers in 2016, after spending two years in the Golden State Warriors as an assistant coach. In his three seasons coaching the team he has a 98-147 overall record.
