Sad news for Liverpool and Uruguay fans, forward Luis Suarez is due for surgery today (May 22). Tests revealed that Suarez has meniscus damage which occurred during a training session for his native Uruguay national team. The Premier League’s Player of the Year is expected to be out 4-6 weeks, subsequently, missing Uruguay’s Group D match against Costa Rica on June 14th.
This is a major blow to La Celeste as Suarez is the focal point of their attack along with Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan.
