“I think it’s a little bit of true story behind that. His girl, at the time, with all due respect, was probably doing a little bit more than that. But, it’s a true story, and I think that’s why he said that. People can respect this man [Drake] for being very honest on record. It was a chick in Toronto, and at the time I didn’t even know that she was I guess, Drake’s girl … I did not know. Absolutely, I did not know.”
Ludacris is expected to drop his 8th album, ‘Ludaversal‘ after a 5 year hiatus. Today to promo the album Luda sat down with The Breakfast Club to speak on the album, movies, his past, future and even the stand out topic of discussion, his so-called feud with Drake.
Bringing up the fact that the beef is squashed now but as you can see in the video of the interview he stressed the fact that there’s some truth to the Drake lyric on ‘How Bout Now‘,
I had no money left from actin’, I was focused on the music
I used to always try and burn you CDs of my new shit
You be like “who’s this?” I be like “me, girl”
You be like “oh, word, true shit?”
‘Cris then even went on to say that he didn’t appreciate the notion of Drake apologizing behind doors after making the issue known public. A private matter should have been kept private and handled that way but that chapter is closed.
