The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to be one of the primary teams in the NBA’s reopening from the coronavirus pandemic. As reported by ESPN‘s Dave McMenamin, the Lakers have been in communication with the LA Mayor’s office to discuss the team resuming team activities either once the stay-at-home order expires or potentially sooner.
The Lakers detailed what workouts will look like when the practice facility re-opens on a conference call with players Monday, sources told ESPN: temperatures taken in the parking lot, strict time schedules and even rebounders wearing gloves https://t.co/Muv3dUzhVm

As the league looks toward its operations in the post-suspension era, the Lakers will look to be one of the initial teams to return to operation. Another key team in the process of resuming team operations is the Atlanta Hawks, with the Georgia state government already relaxing its stay-at-home orders.
The NBA has also recently taken the stance that it will not permit teams to resume in-person team operations prior to May 8th, within the limits of local stay-at-home orders.
