Summer is often a time for late nights with friends, laughter and making memories that will last a lifetime. In the midst of the warm weather, music festivals and cookouts, a summertime romance can appear out of thin air. For every warm weather fling, there’s a song or soundtrack that goes with it. Whether it was “Boo’d Up” in 2019 or “Summer Love” by Justin Timberlake, there are a number songs that instantly take you back to those carefree days regardless of where you hear them. This week, a rising singer-songwriter out of Connecticut has delivered a song that fits perfectly into this category.
Connecticut native Lindsay Capuano has delivered her first single, “Shotgun Love.” Backed by warm, sultry pop production, the freshman recording artist delivers a infatuating love tune.
“Shotgun love, shotgun love/Roll my body up like I’m made of paper/Put your lips on mine, I can be your chaser/And you know the way to smoke this fire,” she sings.
“I’ll pass you the power/Don’t need permission, yeah, that’s a given/Burning through the hours/Cloud is vision, there’s nothing missing.”
“Shotgun Love” sets the stage for Capuano’s first music video, which is rumored to premiere in early March. While we wait for the “Shotgun Love” video to arrive, check out the single below.
