Lil Wayne, ScHoolboy Q and Snoop Dogg to close out the 2019 Milwaukee Summerfest. The three rappers take the stage the final day of the 11-day-long festival.
Listed as the world’s largest music festival, Milwaukee’s Summerfest spans days, presenting a variety of musical acts of all genres. The extensive lineup includes Bon Iver, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Lopez, kicking of with Thomas Rhett.
Taking place at the American Insurance Amphitheater, Summerfest begins June 26 and closes out July 7. Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Schoolboy Q are the only rappers currently listed as headliners as well as the only day with multiple headline performers.
All three Hip-Hop stars offer a different dynamic to the culture. Both Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne have rap careers spanning generations. Snoop Dogg, a metaphorical OG pioneered West Coat rap and remains pivotal in Hip Hop and Pop Culture. Lil Wayne, one of Hip Hop’s best selling artists ever finally released the long awaited Carter 5 in 2018. While ScHoolboy Q’s career is not as his stage-mates, the Los Angeles rapper signed to TDE marked his return with the release of Numb Numb Juice.
Tickets go on sale for the event at 10 a.m. April 12.
