Live from North Philadelphia, LGP Qua has popped up on the timeline yet again. Earlier this week, the emerging artist delivered a two-minute freestyle that took over social media. Floating over the bass-heavy production, the Philadelphia native put his dynamic wordplay on display for the world to hear.
“When I was young, we’d play freeze tag and have fun. You can’t move until somebody touches you. Then, it’s lit again. Nowadays, they still play tag, but with switches. Belive me! If they tag, you’re never going to be it again,” he raps.
“They killed their top opp. On the same night, his n*ggas loaded up. They slide to his block and I swear to God I can’t make this up. They spun and they spun and they spun and they spun. It’s like the GPS kept f*ckin’ up.”
Not only did the freestyle earn more than 45,000 views on his own Instagram page, but it was also shared countless times on other pages. Eventually, it made its way to Twitter where it racked up more than 24,000 retweets and nearly 100,000 likes. However, this is not the first time that LGP Qua has gone viral on social media. More than a year ago, he appeared on Hot 97 with Funkmaster Flex and delivered one of the better freestyles of 2021. Since then, he’s been hard at work in Philadelphia, New York and beyond. He recently appeared on On The Radar and he teamed up with ETS Films for the “War Stories” freestyle video.
LGP Qua is nearing the release of his first major project, The Best Is Yet To Come. Until then, check out his viral freestyle below.
