The legendary singer-songwriter Bobby Womack passed away on Friday. His publicist Sonya Kolowrat confirmed but couldn’t provide any further details. Womack influenced many artists from the Rolling Stones to Damon Albarn. Not only was he a singer-songwriter but also a guitarist. You should be familiar with his hits such as “Across 110th Street,” ”If You Think You’re Lonely Now” and “I Wish He Didn’t Trust Me So Much”.
Womack was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease a few years ago and also overcame drug addiction as well. He also also battled and overcame prostate and colon cancer. His cause of death haven’t been determined yet.
The R&B legend might have left us but his legacy will live on. We want to send our condolences to Bobby’s family & friends.
