Looks like the basketball God’s are looking for a way to apologize to NBA fans for all the players they’ve taken from us. If the season ended today the playoffs would look like this in the Eastern Conference.
A Cavs vs Heat first round match-up would be a great first step at gaining our forgiveness. LeBron playing his best friend and former teammate Dwyane Wade after just winning two rings together. Kyrie Irving making his playoff debut in a what would be heavily watched series. We know he’s no stranger to stepping up in big moments. Would Hassan Whiteside be able to continue his regular season surge into the first round of the playoffs? You cant forget about the whole Kevin Love and LeBron not getting along thing either.
Despite all these storylines and many more you can probably come up with LeBron seem pretty open to playing the Heat first round. In an interview with reporter for the
“You look at the standings, you see who’s two-seven. If we continue to do well, we’ll probably face the seven seed and we’ll see what happens then. But it’d be good for the fans, for sure. And it will be good for me and D-Wade, just being two guys that love to compete, I mean just to go against a champion, a competitor like himself and that franchise,” said James in regard to the Heat match-up and playing best friend D-Wade.
The final faceoff between the Cavs and Heat takes place tonight on TNT. The Heat currently leads the season series 2-1. Look for Miami to come out hard considering they are still fighting to secure a playoff spot unlike the Cavs who already have.
