President Donald Trump disinvited a championship team from the White House again! After disinviting the Warriors last June (after they said they weren’t going to accept his initial invite), the White House disinvited the Philidelphia Eagles this time around, due to what White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called “a lack of good faith” by the Eagles during discussions about the visit. The stars on both NBA Finals teams promptly responded to this, letting Trump know that neither team wants to visit the White House after the 2018 NBA Finals.
LeBron James made the initial comment, saying: “It’s typical of (Trump). I’m not surprised. It’s typical of him … I know no matter who wins this series, no one wants the invite anyways, so there won’t be Golden State going.”

Stephen Curry followed suit, saying: “The way we handled things last year, we’ll stay consistent with that.”
And Kevin Durant voiced his agreement with Curry, saying: “What else do you expect Trump to do? When somebody says they don’t want to go to the White House, he disinvites them so that photo op don’t look bad. We get it at this point. It’s good that guys are sticking to what they believe in, what they want to do. Like guy said before me, I’m sure whoever wins this series won’t be going.”
The three MVPs are in agreement here and have made their collective stance clear. Trump will certainly disinvite them soon anyway.
