FOX Sports is set to air a docu-series executive produced by LeBron James, Cavalier teammate Dwyane Wade and Chicago born Chance the Rapper. ‘MAGNIFY’ will focus on athlete’s and their stories as they look to navigate through challenging times outside of sports.

James and Maverick Carter’s UNINTERRUPTED will produce the film ‘89’. With the help of Sport’s Illustrated, the duo will tell the story of the East St. Louis high Flyers School team. The film will air in its entirety on November 26.
‘Shot in the Dark,’ a film produced by Wade and Chance will premier in February 2018. Chicago high school basketball prospects Tyquone Greer and Marquise Pryor and their Orr Academy basketball team are the motivation for the documentary. Head coach Lue Adams looks to help the team achieve much more than their circumstances would typically allow.
In a press release, Wade, Carter, and Chance shared their enthusiasm for the project,
“We want to give deep insight into sports at all levels and bring the viewer inside the journey for an entirely new perspective,” Carter said. “With ‘89 Blocks,’ we found a special story that needed to be told.”

“Basketball empowered me to overcome the challenges of growing up on the south side of Chicago,” says Wade. “The odds were stacked against me, and the game changed the course of my life. It’s important to share these true stories of triumph to inspire the next generation to achieve their dreams when faced with life’s obstacles.”
“Shot in the Dark is an authentic and realistic look at high school sports in Chicago and what it means for our youth,” adds Chance. “It’s not really a game for some of us.”
‘MAGNIFY’ is just the latest announced television endeavor for James and Carter. The two apparently also have a show centered around sneakerheads in the works with HBO.
