The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t exactly gotten off onto the right start early this season. They currently sit at 7-6 in the West. They are riding a three-game winning streak, their highest of the young season so far. Two of those three wins went down to the wire against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the 3-10 Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night.
During their recent run, LeBron James was asked how the recent struggles affected his leadership role. James told Yahoo Sports after a recent win against the Sacramento Kings that he was near his breaking point.
?“I haven’t changed anything outwardly, but you know me. You know how I am. I almost cracked [last week]. I had to sit back and remind myself, ‘[Expletive], you knew what you were getting yourself into,’” James told Yahoo Sports while laughing after Saturday’s win in Sacramento. “This process has been good for me. I just have to continue being patient.”?
A couple weeks back, James surprised the internet after a loss on the road against the Timberwolves, saying, “You probably don’t want to be around when my patience runs out.”
Since then the Lakers seem to have found a consistent way to win after the arrival of Tyson Chandler, who was brought onto the team after a buyout with the Phoenix Suns.
Chandler recently came up with a game-saving block against Hawks’ rookie Trae Young at the buzzer, securing a win at Staples Center.
