Looks like the return of LeBron James to Cleveland is still having an affect on the NBA nearly six months after his announcement. According to Adidas and NBAstore.com sales from October to Decemeber, the LeBron James No. 23 jersey has climbed back to the No. 1 spot in sales. It seems like James brought along his team the Cleveland Cavaliers with him to the top considering they are now respectively leading the league in apparel sales.
This is James fifth consecutive season leading the league in jersey sales, it’s just this time it’s his 23 Cavaliers jersey and not his old No. 6 Miami jersey. It’s also the first time the No. 23 Cavalier jersey has led the NBA in sales since LeBron James had his rookie campaign back in 2004. Ironically that was also the last time the Cleveland Cavaliers led the league in apparel sales.
Golden State guard Stephen Curry came in at No.2 on the list followed by stars Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose.
Blazers Damian Lillard and Pelicans Anthony Davis have appeared on this list for the first time in their careers.
