2023 top 30 recruit and top five point guard Layden Blocker has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Head Coach Eric Musselman has established himself as a top recruiter in the SEC and the NCAA as a whole. Blocker committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks over the Auburn Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners, and Ole Miss Rebels. Landing four-star talent like Blocker typically means an early impact and a recruit that will stay at least two years if not three or four. Arkansas is set to be a top SEC program for some time.

The Arkansas 2022 recruiting class is loaded with likely “one and done” five-star recruits. That means the program will need transfers or 2023 recruits like Layden Blocker to replace that talent. Blocker is the first recruit in the 2023 class to commit to the Arkansas Razorbacks, but may not be the final one to do that. Head Coach Eric Musselman has quickly turned the Razorbacks into a recruiting powerhouse with the coaching to back it up on the court. The SEC may have a new basketball powerhouse.
Top-30 prospect Layden Blocker has committed to Arkansas, he told @PaulBiancardi. “They have a winning culture. Coach Muss has coached in the NBA and has an NBA style of play. My goal is to play in the NBA.”
Blocker is the 12th ESPN 100 commit for Arkansas since the 2020 class.

Layden Blocker should provide a day one impact and should spend more than one year with the program. While he does have NBA aspirations it may take more than a year of college basketball to get him ready to enter the NBA Draft.
