The Carolina Panthers have traded for Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laviska Shenault according to league sources. With teams looking to trim down to 53 men rosters before the deadlines trades like this are likely to happen. The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new Head Coach ad it seems the new leadership is reworking the roster around different players. Carolina has a new quarterback in Baker Mayfield and seems to want to stack weapons around him for his first season playing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Shenault is a “jack of all trades” type of offensive weapon.

Last season as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Laviska Shenault caught 63 passes for 619 yards and zero touchdowns on 100 targets. He also rushed the ball 11 times for 41 yards and zero touchdowns. His rookie season in 2020 was considerably better than his 2021 season with Urban Meyer as the Head Coach of the team. A lot went wrong for the team with Meyer as the Head Coach of the team. A fresh start with the Carolina Panthers could be exactly what Shenault needs heading into the 2022 season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars still have plenty of things to figure out while the Carolina Panthers are hoping to move closer to contending for an NFL Playoff spot. Acquiring Laviska Shenault could help the team be more competitive this year and gives them a talented young offensive weapon.
