The NBA season is rapidly approaching, which means that Las Vegas is gearing up for betting on the number of wins each team will get. The top of the list should be no surprise, but the bottom teams may be shocking to some. Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook manager Jeff Sherman tweeted out the win totals.

The Golden State Warriors are the only team predicted to have over 60 wins, an unsurprising inference. The Boston Celtics are second-highest at 56.5 wins, putting them around three wins higher than last season. Houston, San Antonio, Cleveland, and Oklahoma City are also all predicted to win over 50 games. Toronto and Minnesota are not far behind 50, with both sitting at 48.5. The top of the list offers few surprises, but the bottom five teams include two playoff squads from last season. The Chicago Bulls are predicted to be the worst team in the NBA according to Vegas, who pegs them for around 21.5 wins. The Atlanta Hawks are the second-worst, at 25.5 wins. Both teams lost their best player this past offseason with Jimmy Butler being traded to Minnesota and Paul Millsap heading to Denver.
Other teams of note on this list include the Brooklyn Nets at 28.5 wins, which would be nearly nine more wins than last season. The Lakers should also be substantially better this season and have their over/under set at 33.5 wins. Philadelphia 76ers fans should be excited to see their team predicted to finish over the .500 mark with 42.5 wins. That should be plenty to jettison them into the Eastern Conference playoffs for the first time since 2012. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks also get a vote of confidence from Vegas, who predicts them to improve to around 47.5 wins. Plenty of optimism in these young teams. Regardless, everyone will be chasing the defending champion Warriors who look to make it three rings in four seasons.
