Allen Iverson is one of the greatest to put on a Philadelphia 76ers uniform. Iverson was one of the more exciting players to watch during his time, but does that mean his former team should give him a job in the front office?
According to one of A.I’s former coaches in Philly, Larry Brown, he thinks so.
From Philly.com:
“I just wish there was some way that (Iverson) could be involved,” Brown said. “Just teach him about the organization and let him figure it out, figure out how he can help. He can certainly judge talent. He certainly has people’s respect. Kids will listen to anything he said. He’s certainly bright as hell. Just teach him how to be involved with the NBA, whatever level you want, but I think ultimately I’d like to see him get into management. I think he’d be a huge asset.”
While that’s nice and all, I’m not really sure if you want Allen Iverson in your front office. I don’t know if his personality and Sam Hinkie’s will go well together. Then again, I don’t know them personally what do I know. I guess bringing The Answer back will get fans excited somewhat.
To be fair, he maybe better than half of the Sixers current roster. Forget the front office bring him back as the 6th man off the bench. My point is, even if the Sixers brought back Iverson in some way, Sam Hinkie is the dictator there so he most likely wouldn’t be doing anything regardless.
