Galloway was traded to the Kings last year as part of the deal that moved DeMarcuss Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans. Now entering his fourth season, Galloway has also played for the Knicks.
The 25-year-old may not be a household name but has quietly become a very serviceable player in the NBA. Last season, Galloway averaged 7.9 points per game while shooting 39 percent from three in 20.2 minutes of playing time.
As a restricted free agent, the Kings have the right to match any offer Galloway signs with a rival team. It gives them the opportunity to bring back the guard should they see fit.
There has not been any significant buzz regarding Galloway thus far. But teams needing a backup point guard on a cheap deal will have interest. The question is how much money will keep the Kings from matching.
