LaMarcus Aldridge Officially Signed To Jordan Brand
For a couple days now there have been various reports that the deal for Portland Trailblazers PF, LaMarcus Aldridge was making the jump from Nike to being apart of Jordan Brand. Well Jordan Brand has released an official announcement that the signing is done and LA is officially apart of Team Jordan.
Was it a great move for LA to make the jump?
It depends on your preference on having access to Nikes and endless PE’s or access to all the J’s you can possibly think of and PE’s as well. You be the judge. It was a great move on his part, it gives him the opportunity to further his brand. To me Nike offers a lot but with such a crowded situation over there JB gives Aldridge the room to grow.
Congrats LaMarcus Aldridge on the move and good luck this season, can’t wait to see some Portland PE’s of some of my favorite J’s. Don’t do the ‘Bred’ 11’s please, that is too typical.
Check out the announcement below and let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
Successful power forward LaMarcus Aldridge joins the Jordan all-star lineup of athletes as he enters his ninth year in the league.
“We are thrilled to add LaMarcus to the Jordan Brand family,” said Larry Miller, President of Jordan Brand. “LaMarcus’s pure athleticism and tenacity makes him a perfect fit with Jordan Brand and we are looking forward to being a part of his continued legacy.”
The Texas native earned notoriety at a young age when he became a Parade All-American at Seagoville High School. After two dominating seasons at the University of Texas, LaMarcus declared for the 2006 draft and was selected as the second overall pick. He continues to shine at the professional level, where he has been selected to the All-Star team three times (2012, 2013 and 2014).
“I have always been a huge fan of Jordan Brand and am so excited to represent them on the court this season,” said Aldridge. “The legacy behind these products is unlike anything else in the sports world, and it’s a great honor to be on the roster with some of the best players in the game.”
