Los Angeles Lakers have been awarded the disabled players exception due to the injury of Steve Nash, and it looks like they will be bringing in a former Laker and New Jersey native into the fold.
Yahoo! Sports Adrian Woknarowski has the story.
Lakers, Earl Clark working on a one-year deal, league sources told Yahoo. He's averaging nearly 30 points for Houston's D-League affiliate.

He’ll be able to help this team out a little bit, since the Lakers have 3 players out for the season in Nash, rookie Julius Randle and veteran Xavier Henry.
Clark went to the Louisville Cardinal to play college ball for 3 seasons. Clark then went into the draft and was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 14th pick in the 2009 draft. After his rookie season, he was traded to the Magic from the Suns and then his career took off after he was traded from the Orlando Magic to the Lakers.
Clark had his best NBA season with the Lakers in 2013, he averaged 7.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds while playing 23 minutes per game, starting in 36 of his 59 appearances for LA.
But after he left the Lakers, it all went down hill. He signed a free agent deal with the Cavaliers, but last season was horrible in Cleveland, and Clark found himself being bounced around from Cleveland.
He was dealt to the Sixers in the middle of the season as part of the trade for Spencer Hawes, only to be waived shortly after. He then joined the Knicks, Grizzlies, Rockets all on short stints before finding himself in the D-League.
This season, Clark has averaged 28.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in 4 appearances with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers this season and has made the most of his D-League opportunity.
