La La Anthony has landed yet another role in front of the camera. This time around, she will join the cast of the Hulu series, Wu-Tang: An American Saga. In this series, Anthony will play the role of a young executive at Def Jam named Tracey Welpes. The young executive knows what works and what doesn’t in this industry and truly believes in Wu-Tang. However, her dream for what the group could be may not align with the vision the group has for itself.
Anthony will step into her role during season two of the Hulu series. The new season will be set six months after the end of season one. Each member of the group must work to put behind old beefs and drama to work on one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time, Enter the Wu-Tang.
Anthony will not just stop at appearing in season two of Wu-Tang: An American Saga. She will also executive produce a series exploring the life of Cyntoia Brown. Not to mention, she’s set to appear in Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s upcoming series, Black Mafia Family.
Season two of Wu-Tang: An American Saga is set to debut this fall, but a specific release date has not been revealed yet.
