The Oklahoma City Thunder are in the same boat as some other championship contending teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and defending champion Golden State Warriors. If you want to win next year, get ready to dip into the luxury tax to bring back all your key pieces.
The Thunder have started that process by bringing back reserve forward Kyle Singler on a deal that actually is very good for him to agree to with the Thunder going long-term.

Restricted free agent Kyle Singler has agreed to a five-year, nearly $25M extension with Oklahoma City, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Thunder bringing back Singler is one piece of their offseason puzzle, the next part will be trying to bring back Enes Kanter. Oddly enough, the Thunder traded for both players at the trade deadline to try to help Russell Westbrook push the Thunder into the NBA playoffs.
Although Oklahoma City fell short of making the playoffs they are immediately favorites in the Western Conference next year, as long as the roster is back and at full health.
