One of the more under the radar free agents this offseason was center Kyle O’Quinn who played his previous three seasons with the New York Knicks.
With the big man market thinning down more and more, O’Quinn was one of the best frontcourt pieces still available now almost a week into free agency. However, according to Yahoo’s Shams Charania, O’Quinn has agreed to a 1-year deal worth $4.5 million with the Indiana Pacers.

Kyle O’Quinn provided stable minutes for the Knicks off the bench during his tenure in New York. He was able to establish himself as an important part of their rotation thanks to his consistent ability to score and rebound at a high clip.
The Pacers, lasered in on climbing up the Eastern Conference ranks in the aftermath of LeBron going West, have made some solid moves so far this summer. They were able to retain versatile forward Thaddeus Young while also adding wings Tyreke Evans and Doug McDermott.
Indiana has clearly made a conscious effort to improve their bench unit and adding O’Quinn as one of their big men options should help their depth in a major way.
