Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry has been out since the NBA All-Star break due to a wrist injury he reportedly suffered during 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend. He was in the three-point shootout and he also participated in the All-Star game. Shortly after the weekend ended, reports began to surface that Lowry had an injury he needed to take care of before it got worse.
The Raptors star underwent wrist surgery and was slated to miss 4-5 weeks in his recovery. While he did take some backlash stemming from his decision to participate at All-Star weekend with an injury, the guard didn’t let it phase him. Now, Lowry is set to make his return and prove more doubters wrong.

Toronto went 11-7 since the start of March while Lowry was out and currently sit in the Eastern Conference third seed after falling as low as six at one point. Their offense relied heavily on another all-star guard in DeMar DeRozan, and he often showed why he’s considered as one of the top guards in the NBA. He was dropping 30 and 40 points games seemingly with ease through some stretches.
Expect Cory Joseph to return to his role on the Raptors bench as the primary substitute for Lowry.
