Kris Humphries Out 3-4 Weeks After Surgery On Right Hand
Washington Wizards forward Kris Humphries is expected to miss three to four weeks after undergoing surgery on Thursday to repair nerve damage in his right hand, per Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post. Humphries suffered the injury in the Wizards preseason opener against the Chicago Bulls on Monday.
The injury will keep Humphries out for the rest of the preseason and possibly a handful of regular season games.
DeJuan Blair recently likened the Washington Wizards new front court to the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons. Their recent preseason scuffle with the Bulls now seems to be the follow-up to that opinion.
The Wizards bolstered their front court of Nene and Marcin Gortat by acquiring DeJuan Blair in a sign-and-trade with Dallas and Kris Humphries via sign-and-trade with the Boston Celtics. When all four are healthy, Washington’s front line will be deep and physical. For now, Humphries is still getting there.
