The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off one of their worst seasons in franchise history. Actually, last season was the worst season since the franchise moved to Los Angeles in 1961. They finished with the number two overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and took fantastic young talent D’Angelo Russell, brought in some veterans like Brandon Bass, Lou Williams and Roy Hibbert and they still have the legendary Kobe Bryant on the roster.
Yet for whatever reason, whether it be the shot selection by the players, the horrible defense or the inability to close out tight games, the Lakers find themselves in an 0-4 hole to start the season.
For obvious reasons, Lakers fans are freaking out. A franchise that has grown so accustomed to winning has now seen its beloved franchise have back to back less than stellar seasons and the 2015-16 campaign isn’t getting off to a hot start.
But Kobe Bryant has one message to those who are losing their minds.

.@EricPincus asked Kobe what he should tell Lakers fans that are freaking out.
Kobe smirks:
"Freak out. It’s good for the soul."

If I heard this from my top player on my favorite team, it would only cause me to freak out even more. That’s not something you want to hear from the guy who is making the most money on your team (and in the NBA) this season. He’s supposed to be the leader of the team and instead, he’s having poor performance after poor performance in his first four games this season.
D’Angelo Russell isn’t getting crunch time minutes, Kobe Bryant is chucking up horrible shots and he doesn’t even think he’s one of the top players anymore. Might be time to change something in Lakers-land.
