Russell Westbrook does not like losing. On the brink of being eliminated from Playoff contention, he droped 54 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished out 9 assists while shooting 49% from the field. People are only taking about him shooting 43 shots though, and another scoring Kobe Bryant doesn’t like that at all. As a scorer, Kobe Bryant is defending Russell.
He took to Twitter and Instagram to address what he feels is annoying:

Russell Westbrook already voiced that he doesn’t really “give a damn” if people complain about 43 FGA’s. I personally can see where Kobe Bryant and Westbrook are coming from. They are hungry winners and they hate losing, they want to win more then anything in the world. Kobe Bryant and Russell Westbrook share that trait about their basketball style (which Kobe has commented on).
Kobe has received tons of criticism for taking too many shots in a game, and granted sometimes it seems like these guys don’t have a pass button on their playstation controller, but you can’t hate how hungry they are to win.
