Free agent guard Sasha Vujacic has reached agreement on a $1.35 million veteran-minimum contract with the New York Knicks, league sources told RealGM.
This is a move that has Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher written all over it.
Vujacic was a serviceable guard during his seven years in the NBA playing for both the Lakers and the New Jersey -now Brooklyn- Nets and his super short stint with the Los Angeles Clippers. He’s a career 37% shooter from three and over his career, Vujacic averaged 5.6 points per game. He has learned from one of the best in Kobe Bryant and as we saw in Kobe’s ‘Muse’ documentary, Bryant would often go at Vujacic to make him more competitive.
